COMPUTER SCIENCE & ENGINEERING graduates are the pillars in the current and emerging information era. Opportunities include pursuing Master of Science programs in reputed Universities of U.S. and taking up research assignments in Hardware, System Software, Computer Engineering, Multi media, Networking and Communications areas. The department aims to provide students with strong conceptual foundations and also expose them to the forefront of the development in the field of computing. A common thread of technological innovation weaves throughout the department and every member of the faculty. We believe in "PROGRAMMING and INNOVATION".
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was esvertical_tablished in the year 2001 with an intake of 60. Till date 13 batches of students have graduated. The intake of students has been increased from 60 to 90 during the year 2003-2004 and further increased to 120 during the year 2005-2006 and increased to 180 in 2015-16
The department is headed by Dr.B. Geethavani - Professor & HOD , who has vast teaching and research experience and is supported by 06 Professors, 11 Associate Professors and 22 Assistant Professors. All the faculty members possess M. Tech qualification. The department has required ratio of doctorates. Nine faculty members are pursuing Ph.D. in Various Universities. The department strives to inculcate conceptual and technical skills in students through a scientific teaching methodology based on lectures, case studies, seminars, group discussions, project works, assignments, quiz programs etc. These are well supported by modern teaching aids such as LCD projector etc. The systematic approach to problem solving is emphasized in the classrooms and laboratories as well as through the course projects and additional computer training beyond the scope of the syllabus. The laboratory exercises are designed to implement the latest software and tools of the industry. Seminars and Guest Lectures are organized periodically for the benefit of students. Students are also encouraged to participate in Technical Symposiums / paper contests conducted by various other organizations. Eminent personalities from various other academic institutions, Research Organizations and Industries, are being invited to deliver expert lectures in certain advanced subjects. Students are also encouraged to go for industrial tours which benefit to know real time industrial environment and research exposure to them.
To produce innovative, qualified, and elegant technocrats who will provide global services.
To employ qualified faculty, and state of the art resources, innovatively to produce world class technocrats.

The objective of this lab are to make the student to learn programming languages such as C++&JAVA. Students get trained in IBM Rational Rose for Object Oriented Analysis and Design(OOAD). Students are also trained in Design Patterns with IBM Rational Rose to solve design problems of the software development.
The objective of this lab is to train the students on PC Hardware, Internet and Productivity tools including Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher. PC Hardware introduces the students to a personal computer and its basic peripherals, installation of system software like MS Windows, Linux and the required device drivers.
The objective of this lab is to provide training to students in implementations of Compiler Design & Operating system concepts. This lab also facilitates the students to get trained in Unix Operating system, Shell programming and Networking concepts.
The objective of this lab is to provide a strong formal foundation in database concepts and practice with the technologies Oracle and MYSQL.
The objective of this lab is to train students with JSP, Java Script, and JDBC. In this lab, students can design and implement various Web Applications.
The Objective of this lab is to facilitate the students with J2ME and Android. In this lab, students can design and implement various Mobile Applications.
In this lab students will be trained on Data Structures and Advanced Data structures.
