Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) was started in the year 2011 in Siddharth Institute of Engineering & Technology with an aim to create awareness among the students regarding entrepreneurship, to develop entrepreneurial qualities and to motivate students to identify career prospects as Entrepreneur. In the recent years the promotion of entrepreneurship is considered as a possible source of job creation, empowerment and economic dynamism. Siddharth Institute of Engineering & Technology makes all possible efforts to provide training and other essential support to the students having innovative ideas to transform into new products and services for the betterment of the society. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell also assists all the aspirants with mentoring, planning and execution of their start up idea into a real business. This cell aims to foster the entrepreneurship culture among the students and incarnate the power of innovation.

Entrepreneurship Development Cell – Responsibilities
To organise Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programmes, Faculty Development Programmes and Skill Development Programmes in the college.
To initiate as many as innovative student projects each year for new innovative product development.
To organize Business Plan Competitions every year.
To guide and assist prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects (such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support
system, information on technologies, etc.)
To arrange interaction with entrepreneurs and create a mentorship scheme for student entrepreneurs.
To facilitate and conduct various informational services relating to promotion of entrepreneurship.
To network agencies of the support system, academic institutions and Research & Development (R&D) organisations to obtain the entrepreneurship data base.
To organize programmes for women for acquiring special skills, so that they can earn while at home
To provide assistance to young entrepreneurs in getting bank loans, selection of staff and workers and dealing with day to day problems in their business.
To arrange visits to industries for prospective entrepreneur.

1. Workshop on “Digital Marketing and Games Development.”
Mr.Venkata Krishnan CEO, Strydo Technologies Pvt. Ltd shared his experience through Workshop on “Digital Marketing and Games Development”. The future businesses are like games development, digital marketing, Computerized reasoning, augmented reality and the development of advanced medium is showing a sensational increment and the use of digital advertising will be most essential in any business.
2. Workshop on “Entrepreneurship-cum-Skill Development Programme”
The training program is organized by the department of mechanical engineering to upgrade the skills of prospective entrepreneurs, also develop skills of new works and the latest techniques. The engineer discussed different technical cum skill development techniques with the basic objectives to provide training for the skill up-gradation and to equip the students with better and improved technological skills.
3. A webinar on “Business opportunities in Civil Engineering”
A webinar on opportunities in Civil Engineering on 6th Jan 2022 was organized. The resource person R. Vijayabasker Resident Engineer, Chennai Metro Rail Limited, had discussed as nation or city's improvement can be connected to the job structural architects play concerning development of sky scrapers, shopping centers, office buildings and a large group of other.

Dr. T. Ramashri, Professor of ECE Department, Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering, Tirupati given her speech on "Entrepreneurial Ecosystem" on 28th Dec 2021 and shared different opportunities to start and run a successful business.
5. A Seminar on “Animation Techniques and Business Prospects”
Mr.R.Kalai Prasanth Business Analyst Blue Silicon Infotech Pvt. Ltd, conducted a program on “Animation Techniques and Business Prospects”. He expressed that Animation is a successful technique to increment commitment on many levels.
6. Manufacturing and Sales Event
Department of Management studies organized an event to seed the concepts of management and sales in practical manner by selling crafted pens and made sales in the college.
7. Seminar on “SMART GRID”
Mr. P.Muniseker M.Tech., Assistant professor, SIETK –puttur delivering a concept on SMART GRID on 20-09-2021. He explained information on smart grid usage in real life context.
