Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar Principal, SIETK

  Dr. P. Ramesh Kumar is a distinguished academician with more than 31 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering education, research, and academic administration. He served as Principal, contributing significantly to academic excellence and institutional development. His service in several leading engineering institutions in South India, signifies his dedication to institutional development, academic quality enhancement, and research culture. With extensive experience as a Professor and Principal for over 18 years, Dr. Ramesh Kumar has played a vital role in curriculum development, laboratory establishment, faculty mentoring, and academic governance. His leadership has supported accreditation processes, strengthened industry–institution collaboration, and promoted student-centered learning environments. His academic and research interests include Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, and Thermal Engineering. He has published research papers in National and International journals and has presented his work at various academic conferences.
  Dr. Ramesh Kumar has also designed and established several engineering laboratories, including Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics & Machinery, and Strength of Materials laboratories, contributing to the development of practical learning infrastructure for engineering students. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from S.V. University, an M.E. in Thermal Power Engineering from Annamalai University, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Andhra University, all with First Class distinction. Dr. Ramesh Kumar is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). Throughout his career, he has guided numerous undergraduate projects, participated in National seminars and workshops, and contributed to advancing engineering education and research.
